Life after Death

I believe in Life after death, yes I am talking about Life - after - death, I am not talking about the hallucinations or illusions of the people's who undergone cardiac arrest and survived later! I am not talking about religious beliefs about born again due to soul chooses other body by leaving present body!!

a life after death will happen when some person dead, when his organs transplanted to the needy. His organs will still remain alive, even the person dead. Yes! I am talking about organs donation!!!

Organ Donation is the only possible way to live a life after death.

Religious views on organ donation:

There are mixed views on organ donation and not clear and not specific about organs donation( I think they failed to imagine this situation of taking organs from one to other ) but Specifically no religion talked about giving organs to other person, morally yes, more or less all religions pro to organ donation, now. But every religion has it's own way of doing rituals for a dead body. Egyptian believed even a dead person also live his own life after death, that's why mummification procedure invented. They used to keep all the belongings of a dead person kept inside the place where the mummy was preserved. Hinduism has it's own way of Burning body, Islam and Christianity will do Burying.

History of donating organs:

The first ever transplantation happened 1869 - 70 in modern era. ( I have mentioned modern era, because I am not willing to tap the emotions and sentiments of the people here who believe, in India about head transplantation in Hindu mythology - according to me those claims are baseless or unproved. ) first time in the history method of skin grafting technique used by a Swiss Doctor Jacques-Louis Reverdin. The first skin grafting performed in 1870 in Denmark. This is a revolutionary method to make the scientists to think about one person organs can be used for another person.

With in 100 years of time after first transplant method used there was a rapid growth happened in this particular segment, baring few almost all the organs transplanted in a century of years. 1968—The first organ procurement organization (OPO) was established, New England Organ Bank based in Boston. Uniform Anatomical Gift Act drafted by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws; established the Uniform Donor Card as a legal document of gift in all 50 states, identified the types and priority of individuals who could donate a deceased person's organs, and enabled anyone over 18 to legally donate his or her organs upon death, in the same year. The journey was not stopped there many reforms and laws which engage free donation of organs was established, and continuing till date.

The first living organ donor in a successful transplant was Ronald Lee Herrick (1931–2010), who donated a kidney to his identical twin brother in 1954. The lead surgeon, Joseph Murray, won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1990 for advances in organ transplantation.

Current situation:
Though there is a significant development happened in the field of surgery and organs transplantation, it's a sad thing to say even today there is a large gap between the no. of donors registered and the people waiting for the helping hand. This is because lacking of awareness, though in India nearly 10 deaths happening per hour if, 50 percentage of the people understand and registered to donate their organs - roughly, with in a weak of time it fulfils the requirement all the needy.

I would like to say many religions believe in life after death and rebirth. But modern science giving us opportunity to live again, not necessary to born again to achieve this. Come let us join hands and support 'organ donation'.
